Increasing Population of India

India is ranked as the 2nd most populated country. It is mostly seen as a menace, Poverty coupled with lac of resources and increasing demands.  The recent price rise have troubled masses. As the population is increasing, It is getting tougher and tougher for authorities to control pandemic diseases, traffic and crime. Even the availability of basic amenities such as water, elctricity and housing is short of demands.
Many of the measures by GOI, UNESCO and WHO has not seen any significant improvement in the situation. there are schemes such as "We two, Our two" but there is no strong implementation of these scheme.
Through the decades Indians have learnt to live with these problems,. the large number of people makes it of the largest consumer market for global companies .FDI's is at its peak this decade. With the help of this capital India will look forward to a better living standerd, employment and support to the shrinking economy.
In the past decade IT sector has contributed a major share of exports from India and it is made possible by the large talent pool of talented professionals.
But if the western market slows down the outsourcing and Investment will stop. So India has to look upon its own infrastructure and environment.  Entrepreneurs like Dhirubhai Ambani and Shiv Nadar has done their bits. Government has introduced food security bill last season.
The government has a huge task ahead of them to provide food, shelter and opportunities for its own people.

The Chair

THE CHAIR
There are not many things in this by and large mundane a world that would incite childish interest and terrible fear, at the same time, in me and with the same deep intensity.
So far actually I have found one....
The reclining Chair at a Dental surgeon's chamber...

The chair at Dr Roy's chamber always looked very enticing, soft and comfortable...in fact, it always looked very interesting...
(It was kinda that chair on which the eldest of our joint families of yesteryear's would always rest in the evening with an air of patriarch..and well, mostly, with a hookah in hand...)...

Whenever I would visit Dr Roy's chamber and discuss my toothy problems, the Chair..covered by a light green leather would always stay on the back of my mind...and I would have a passing look at it..time and again...
Despite some lighting gadgets and tray-holds attached to it by the left side near the headrest, the chair looked largely innocuous.. and innocent...and well, in a sense inviting too..It would,in a sense, exude a charm and cast a 'spell' on me...

But that's all deceptive...

All discussions about my 'extra-sensitive teeth'...which would always give a shooting pain with the winter cool setting and chilled water touching....were over, I would invariably be asked by the doctor to sit on that chair which by this time, I would feel, somehow, had lost its magical charm....As you all will, perhaps, agree that inside a dental surgeon's room... you would not have much courage. ...I would also be left with no other option but to manage on my own to squeeze onto that chair and hit the back with an awkward thump...( you always would face difficulty to sit on that chair)... and, the agonised moments would begin from then... the good young doc with a serious face for no reason would use something that would push my body's upper part 'down' behind with that chair slowly yet decisively...legs sans support....... all the while I would be constantly asked to keep the mouth open ...with some lights shining inside the oral cavity.... Oh!! it was only then I would find I did actually 'stand' nowhere...all my confidence and courage would simply vanish, my mustache-end would drop meekly and automatically and I would be acting helplessly at the 'orders' of the doc ...like a hypnotized man...
The chair would neither feel comfortable more, nor Dr Roy would look like that beer drinking all-smile-cricket buff 'boy-turned doctor' any more....
The winter has set in, and I am now thinking of the chair... I have to visit the doctor this year too....and...The Chair comes to my mind...
It is perhaps the only Chair ..a Dental Surgeon's chair..... that takes away all the power and all the pride from anybody and everybody...and makes anybody and everybody a...... poor soul...a painfully poor soul....

Really an interesting piece from Manas Paul

Reality Distortion

Modi supporters are in some Reality Distortion Field were they carry the flag of development around their eyes, and can't read just anything written against him, Pleas guys do your own unbiased research about him, don't just get obsessed with the false numbers or history(recent funda) projected by their social media campaign teams. and why to forget about 2002 when the person is same and can cause a similar massacre again. planned efforts for Ethnic cleansing can never be acceptable by any logical means.

Rebellions

Education is the most important journey of an individual and like any other journey it is filled with its own adventures and barriers. I learned a proverb in my childhood “Education of childhood is like carving of a stone”. Being such an important aspect of civilizations, there has been vast amount of research in systems and methods of teaching. Even after all those filtered and conditioned systems, they seem to fail for a specific kind of students.
I am talking about rebellions. They hate the system. They hate all those people trying to turn them towards the right direction. It is not in their blood and even they don’t like it. But it is something which soothes their souls. They will complain about the system. “Rules are made to be broken” would be their tagline. Listening to some shit about how to exist is a waste of time for them. They will
act confident about their future but deep in there, would be a long chain of insecurity pulling them towards reality.
The reasons behind creation of these energetic species are various.” Lack of admiration for their good and rewards of pleasure for their bad” encourages them to go one step further on this route. Being stubborn and arrogant gives them a lot of pleasure. It specially happens in a teenage when raw minds often fall prey to a lot of dilemma, fun hurts, and friends turn foe. Everything happens so fast and there is no time to introspect.
They create an another Imaginary universe for themselves, where they are heroes saving the whole world and this imaginary world gives them a lot of pleasure so they run away from painful mortal web of reality. Their needs are inestimable as is their energy. They want everything fast, here and now. This often leads to unethical elements of society misusing them for their own profit.
The biggest challenge is to identify such intentions of a teen and befriend him, Counsel him regarding his choices, Introduce him to diverse career options and most  important praise the good in him, Identify his inner talent even if it is trivial. Psychological support to a disturbed teen can save his entire life and he will be thankful to you for the rest of his life.

NARENDRA MODI - A PHENOMENON

Recently,
India's most well-known film script-writer Salim Khan (actor Salman Khan's father) has said to a senior journalist in an interview: "Does anyone remember who the chief minister of Maharashtra was during the Mumbai riots which were no less deadly than the Gujarat riots of 2002?
Does anyone recall the name of the chief minister of UP during Mallianam and Meerut riots or that of the Bihar CM when the Bhagalpur or Jamshedpur riots under Congress regimes took place?
Do we hear names of earlier chief ministers of Gujarat under whose charge, hundreds of riots took place in post-Independence India?
Does anyone remember who was in- charge of Delhi's security when the 1984 massacre of Sikhs took place in the capital of India?
How come Narendra Modi has been singled out as the Devil Incarnate as if he personally carried out all the killings during the riots of 2002?"
No speck of doubt about what Salim Khan has said.
When one says Gujarat's agriculture growth is 10-11% since whole last decade
The other says 2002 Riots!

When one says he made the Asia's biggest solar plant,
The other says 2002 Riots!
When one says Gujarat is the only state in the whole of India to provide 24*7 and 365 days electricity to almost all of its 18,000 villages,
The other says 2002 Riots!
When one says - World Bank's statement of 2011 said, Gujarat roads are equivalent to international standards,
The other says 2002 Riots!
When one says Gujarat is the first State in country to have "high speed wireless Broadband service in its all 18,000 villages,
The other says 2002 Riots!
When one says Forbes Magazine rated Ahmadabad as the fastest growing city in India and 3rd in the world,
The other says 2002 Riots!
When one says Gujarat Tourism is growing faster than ever before,
The other says 2002 Riots!
When one says according to central govt's Labour Bureau's report, Gujarat has the lowest unemployment rate in country,
The other says 2002 Riots!
When Narendra Modi is being chosen as the best current Indian leader in almost all surveys & polls again and again
The other says 2002 Riots!
When one says 2003-2013 are the only 10 straight years in Gujarat history which are totally riot-free,
The other STILL says 2002 Riots!
But when we remind them about riots which occurred during Congress and in Communist Party rule :
1947
Bengal....5,000 to 10,000
dead ...CONGRESS RULE.
1967
Ranchi....200 DEAD..........CONGRESS

they become totally deaf ...............
...because they have no answer.
Congress is a government of
hypocrites.
The youth of India says:............
We are not interested in 2002, We
are interested in 2022......

Politics

I would rather like an aam aadmi and aam india than resting dead in my grave. A governance provoking riots is not at all accepted. Democracy is not about how intelligent you are its about how many you are.

Should dance bars be legal?

As supreme court overturned the ban on the dance bars in Mumbai, the debate is ON,  Are dance bars harmful for moral values??
Can Mumbai citizens withstand the fact that their youngsters are squandering money over the bar girls?? It may be arguable, but, what is the harm caused by the dance bars when the red light  areas in the city are full of colours. The ban proved to be pernicious to many citizens who were dependent on that business for their livelihood. In most of the cases, the victims were young woman who had to do the job because of their miserable economic conditions. Most of them are sole earners in their respective families. So, the bar girls are the ones most prone to the deleterious effects of the ban. Many have turned into CSW( commercial sex workers). And others were victims of human trafficking to Gulf countries like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain Muscat which were experiencing rise in demand for the Bollywood item numbers. But the abrogation of the ban is a result of the failure of Government in accomplishing the rehabilitation process for the victims.

This decision may be a relief for many, But it certainly challenges and attenuates the ethical and moral balance of the society.

Are we heading towards legalization of prostitution?

And the Mountains Echoed : Review

You can’t just ignore it once you start. The cover page tells you the entire story but, it’s difficult to infer at the first glance. Once you open it, you will find the start as watching a 3D Disney movie with divs and jins. But once you start flowing in the emotions of Yaqub for his son Qais you can’t put it down. Till the end of fairy tale you know what is going to follow in the rest of the story.
As always, character mapping by Hosseini is as real as it can ever be. The bond between Abdullah and her little sister Pari is heart-warming. First 130 and the last 60 gives you the lead story, the rest is filled with many short little stories of after-math of Afghan war. Particularly the story of Roshi and Idris may just break your heart. It’s one of those stories which leave your heart ground with multiple emotions of joy melancholy sympathy and humanism.
If you have read A Thousand Splendid Suns then this one is a must read for you. If you put your heart {rather than brain} to read, you will love most of its short stories and characters and hate as many of them. A finger must be cut to save the Hand.
