One of the biggest problem India has been facing since independence is poverty.and the best way to uplift life standard is Education for poor people. The statistics are threatening in this regards. We would have never given a thought to this issue but still millions of children have never had an school in their life.
Its true that GOI has taken steps to increase literacy in rural areas(sakshar bharat mission, School chalen hum, etc) but these schemes have failed miserably in most of the areas, either blame corruption or carelessness of government authorities but those innocent kids have their right to Education.
Many NGO's are working towards achieving this goal , "Teach for India" is one such amazing scheme. As India's power lies in its strong Youth population, more has to be done by these enthusiastic revolters of nation who dream a superpower and socially balanced India ahead.
Please put your views on the issue with your awareness and Ideas.
Shiksha, Teach for India, and there are many more NGOs which are working for the benefit of students belonging to poor family. However, India's population is so large that not every child/student is being benefited. We need more of such NGOs.
